Fiduciary Focus
The fiduciary standard legally requires a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) to act completely in their clients’ best interest. In contrast, brokers or commission-based advisors are only required to sell you a “suitable” investment, allowing them to recommend products that may be in the best interest of their firm or their own compensation. Before trusting your financial future to an advisor’s care, you owe it to yourself to ask if they are fiduciaries.
A Fee-only Firm
SW Private Wealth is strictly a fee-only RIA model firm. This means that we are compensated solely by the client. We don’t sell financial products or securities, we don’t accept commissions, and we don’t have sales quotas to meet or sales contests to win.
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)
Annette successfully completed the rigorous examination process and demanding requirements of what many consider to be the “Gold Standard” designation in financial planning.1 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ (CFP®) is held by less than 20% of all individuals licensed for securities and insurance.2,3 Just 33.5% of financial advisors are women, according to the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics,2 and only 23% of advisors with a CFP designation are women, according to the CFP Board.3
“Custody” Protection of Your Assets
SW Private Wealth does not take possession of your money. Custody of client assets is safeguarded by Charles Schwab, a member of FINRA/SIPC. After we set up an account for you, Charles Schwab accepts trading instructions from us on your behalf, shares account information, and deducts our quarterly advisory fees directly from your account.
No Minimum Required
SW Private Wealth has no household income minimum and no investable asset minimum requirements. Why? Because when Annette was growing up, she saw first-hand that access to financial education and planning advice was not available to those with financial constraints – members of the community who often needed it the most. Today, with no minimum requirements, we proudly offer investment management and financial planning to a wide range of clientele.
No Obligations
The team you hire to help manage your finances and reach your goals should be one that you trust and enjoy working with. That’s why we don’t believe in lock-in contracts. If we are not a comfortable fit, our clients are free to cancel at any time and find an advisor who is – without having to pay fees or penalties.
